Palsson Elementary school began streaming and sorting waste many years ago. Every classroom sorts and organises waste to limit the amount going to the landfill. We are the #6 ranked school in BC for our recycling. Our video shows the basics of how the program works. Not only do students learn about designing and producing a video, they see every aspect of our recycling program. Recycling at Palsson comes automatically to all staff members who have made a commitment to be a green school. After attending from Kindergarten to grade five, students will have developed positive habits of knowing to clean out containers, separate materials and organize recyclables. The steps are simple, but effective ways of making a big difference. Many hands, big and small, make for light work on our effective, and profitable program.
