Also try out the link to our Green Spaces Website. THANK YOU. Problem: Deteriorating Garry Oak ecosystems. ACTION: Garry Oak ecosystems are an important part of the natural history around Reynolds Secondary. Students are reclaiming a portion of this ecosystem at the front of our school (a significant part of the school green spaces project planned with the assistance of a Leadership Victoria Team) by adding leaf mulch and planting native plant species. We've even been learning how to propagate our own native species. We are improving the natural habitat for many animal species with this project as well as absorbing rainwater run-off with an adjoining rain garden which will help the health of the watershed and improve the aesthetics of our school front. www.greenspacesproject.org
