Salmon and Streams Project

Anmore Elementary School has been raising local salmon eggs in the hallway for the entire school to enjoy. Each year opportunities arise that compliment our salmon experience. We have dissected salmon, had a fisheries and oceans employee in, visited a hatchery, sewn a First Nations button blanket, taken part in the Stream of Dreams, and celebrated our family day with salmon as our focus. As a result of our salmon tank, we have a number of families who now volunteer at Mossom Creek Hatchery. We are creating young stewards who are respecting and taking care of our environment at an early age. Please view our Stream of Dreams video and power point presentation.
